The designer and jeweller Frithjof Marthinsen created the Oseberg cutlery serie in 1956. Frithjof, a third generation Marthinsen, was well known as a talented designer and skilled craftsman. With his excellent visual sense and artistic flair he turned the brand Th. Marthinsen into a significant design business.
