Telemark silver is inspired by the Norwegian characteristic woodcarving and rose-painting traditions of the county of Telemark, Norway. The tradition had its heyday for about 100 years, between the 1750s and 1850s. During this period they made a variety of rose-painted woodboxes, beer buns and wall paintings by hand. The floral design has its history from the Acanthus mollis discovered by the ancient Greeks. The Telemark silverware was designed in 1942 and has been a classic in our range of products.
Silver flatware is renowned for its anti-bacterial properties, making it the perfect material for hygienic dining.
